(Professional school, sports hall and bus terminal; Sierre, Switzerland; 2011)

The multifunctional complex in Sierre is located on a prominent site right next to the main train station. Its sheer size and mixed programme have the potential of generating a new pole of activity south of the tracks. Its scale goes beyond that of a singular building and takes a real urban role by positioning its elements in relationship to the immediate as well as distant landscapes. At the same time the heterogeneous surroundings ask for a "cleaning" operation that brings a clearer organisation to the ensemble: public spaces, circulation, relationship to the tracks, flow of passengers / students / sport hall users.
