CATERPILLAR at Maison&Objet Paris
A series of CATERPILLAR benches, designed by kawamura-ganjavian, will be exhibited at the concept store Autour du Mond during the Maison&Objet domestic design fair in Paris between the 3rd and 5th September 2010.

Master class at Design Act Moscow
kawamura-ganjavian have been invited to participate in Design Act giving a Master Class on the 1st September 2010 entitled "An excursion from the city to the tip of your finger". Design Act will take place between 31st August and 5th September 2010 in Moscow, Russia.

Winners of Saloni Award

FUNNEL NECK is a bottle top that screws on conventional PET water bottles. We often forget to give a second life to many objects of daily consumption that surround us.
Red October Island workshop at Strelka Institute
kawamura-ganjavian, together with Garrick Jones from Ludic Group, will be directing a creative workshop at the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design in Moscow between 31st May and 4th June 2010. This centre is a new multidisciplinary creativity educational hub that starts operating on the 24th May. The dean of its postgraduate programme is Rem Koolhaas. The theme of the workshop will pivet around the Red October Island, a post-industrial site in central Moscow where the Strelka Institute is located.
Official opening of Rolex Learning Center
The bookstore La Fontaine, designed by kawamura-ganjavian and located inside the Rolex Learning Center will have its official vernissage on 29th May 2010 as part of the opening celebration days (27th-30th May) of the Rolex Learning Center at the EPFL campus in Lausanne, Switzerland. This is the final stage of a project that has engaged the studio for over a year. We are truly thankful to all people involved in the process.
Masterclass at Spanish Design Festival in Moscow
kawamura-ganjavian have been invited to give a masterclass on 27th May 2010 at the Design Boom space in Moscow, as part of the Spanish Design Festival in Russia (20th-27th May). This event will showcase prominent design companies and designers from Spain.
Finalists at Saloni Architecture Prize
kawamura-ganjavian, in collaboration with Ramiro Losada, have been selected as finalists of the Saloni Architecture and Interiors prize for their contemporary art exhibition space Espacio Iniciarte. The winner will be announced on Thursday 3rd June 2010 at an awards ceremony in the Cataluña Congress Centre in Barcelona.
Opening of exhibition "process as paradigm"
The exhibition "process as paradigm (art in development, flux and change)", curated by Susanne Jaschko and Lucas Evers, and designed by kawamura-ganjavian, opened on 23rd April 2010 at the LABoral art centre in Gijón, Spain. The space consists of a series of spatial clusters that articulate the display of art pieces and the flow of visitors. It will last until 30th August 2010.

Mass Prototyping workshop
Between 19-28 April 2010 kawamura-ganjavian have directed the workshop entitled Mass Prototyping as part of the Master programme Self Design organised by HUNE school. The course consisted of a constant and rapid transformation of ideas into 1:1 cardboard prototypes.

Infomab10 video
kawamura-ganjavian are proud to present a new video about their Infomab10 pavilion which was installed at Paseo de Recoletos in central Madrid during the public arts festival Madrid Abierto 2010 and is currently located at the Matadero cultural centre (Madrid).
New UGM centre in Maribor
kawamura-ganjavian has participated in the international competition to design the New UGM cultural centre in Maribor. This Slovenian city will be the 2012 cultural capital of Europe. This project was developed in collaboration with Ramiro Losada.

Librairie La Fontaine opens to the public
We are delighted to announce that the bookstore Librairie La Fontaine, designed by kawamura-ganjavian inside the Rolex Learning Centre at the EPFL campus in Lausanne (Switzerland), has opened to the public on 22nd February 2010. Customers and media have given a very positive welcome to it.
